I’ve worked all but about ten hours of the last two days. Which leads to this short post. I need to go take a nap. Of course I’ve got to leave you with the key to staying sane in the midst of working so much. Dan Zanes is the key for me. His great album Catch That Train is my introduction to his work, but I’m already in sold. He has a lot of music primarily for adults, but I’m interested in his children’s music. There’s a great lightness and joy that come from listening to children’s music. I’m not talking about fairy tales and cartoon voices. I’m talking about fun, make you dance, shake your rump in the car and smile type of music. The best part is the great quality of instrumentation on the albums of bands like Dan Zanes and Friends, Trout Fishing in America and Justin Roberts.
